Our firm has partnered with a well-established engineering consulting firm with multiple regional offices across Texas,seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join their growing team in Houston. This is a fantastic opportunity for a licensed PE with strong MEP design experience, particularly in healthcare, education, commercial, federal, or light industrial sectors. Open to any experience!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead mechanical system design efforts across a variety of building types
• Mentor and advise junior engineering staff on technical and career development
• Collaborate with electrical, plumbing, structural, and other design disciplines
• Prepare project documentation in accordance with industry and internal standards
• Monitor project timelines and budgets in coordination with Project Managers
• Conduct quality control reviews to ensure design accuracy and completeness
• Represent the firm in client meetings and help maintain long-term relationships
• Participate in firm-provided continuing education (with opportunities to teach)

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas (or ability to obtain)
• 10+ years of mechanical design experience (HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, etc.)
• Prior exposure to healthcare, education, commercial, or federal facility design
• Strong project coordination and client communication skills
• Ability to lead without ego and contribute to a collaborative team environment
• Willingness to occasionally travel, and to lift drawings/equipment (up to 50 lbs)

Bonus Points For:

• Previous experience in a leadership or project ownership role
• Experience managing design teams and QA/QC processes
• Comfort with fast-paced environments and tight deadlines
